On December 10, 2025, the China-Senegal Green Energy Talent Training Program and CGN Senegal "White Egret Workshop" opening ceremony was held in Mbour, Senegal. Dr. Chen from Solartale Green Energy Technology attended as a special guest, witnessing this important moment for green energy development and technical talent cultivation together with representatives from governments, industries, enterprises, and educational institutions of both China and Senegal.
Mr. Omar N'Gom, Deputy Director of the Generation Department at Senelec (Senegal's national power company), stated in his address that Senegal plans to increase the share of renewable energy to 40% by 2030. He emphasized that the China-Senegal green energy talent training program aligns closely with Senegal's energy transition strategy, and expressed willingness to work with partners including CGN to cultivate local talent and build a sustainable, resilient power system.
Mr. Li Jingbo, Deputy Director of the Vocational Education Development Center of China's Ministry of Education, noted via video that China has accumulated rich experience in renewable energy development and vocational education. He expressed willingness to further strengthen cooperation with Senegal in energy and power education, jointly building a China-Senegal talent cultivation and exchange platform.
